Interview: Author Diana Scott

Hi Diana. Thank you to you the Take the time to me to answer questions.
I thank you for your interest. It can start so ...

How did you start writing? Has it always been your desire or did it result in more short term?
I have always liked to write - whether articles were in school now, long letters, and later e-mails to friends. writing stories for the public to create even a book, this idea is born only 3 years ago.

What fascinates you most about writing?
It's hard to say. I love "the written word," also It is fantastic to create their own worlds, bring characters to life that previously existed only in my head. I can totally forgot to write, turn off completely and just feel good all round. That's just my world - otherwise I can not describe it well. But I think every writer, whether professional or amateur scribbler knows exactly what I mean ...

What do you advise young talents who aspire to a writing career?
difficult, because each person is different. I guess we should believe in themselves and accept criticism. But that should not go so far that dissuade you from your ideas leaves or even the writing, which specify other one. I was also told, vampires are dying, but I should look for a different genre. But I'm not sure. And I find it very important, one should remain true to yourself and be persistent when it comes to finding a publisher. This is probably the most difficult hurdle at all ...

in December 2010 before your first novel, "Never trust a Vampire" was published two short stories published test you. How the work differs in a novel and a short story?
I personally much prefer to write a book as a short story. What would clearly on the word "short" is. I like to get out much, paraphrasing words that describe people, etc. It does not matter if my book has finally 400 or 500 pages. In a short story I have to "reduce", which I find very difficult. But I would miss my short stories, because I learned a lot from it. For example, that I ever can do what I have never thought possible. And an advantage as a short story does have - you hold fast a "result" in the hands.

How did you come up with the idea of writing an erotic vampire novel?
Quite simply, I love vampires and I love erotic stories. And since vampires and erotic for me invariably go together, my path was mapped out.

Before you get to the writing of "Never trust a vampire" started, you've planned the story first to the last detail, only have a skeleton made, or did you just wrote straight on?
Since I have to think really, because that's all for quite a while. I have not planned the story in detail, so I never work. But I know that many authors make it quite differently than I do. I had the plot in "broad strokes" in my head, the fine work was then obtained in writing. Some things just does not advance this plan. Especially when writing, I love spontaneity. Today I am however a bit different before. You develop eventually getting a bit more ...

How much time passed from the initial idea to finished manuscript?
A very good question that I unfortunately can not answer exactly. I saw all this at first as a hobby and have given me time accordingly. Especially since it was not my intent was that "Never trust a vampire should be a book. But I think a year has passed in any case, before I offered it to a publisher.

What was the working title? Or was clear from the outset, hot would like the book?
First, my story was called "Never trust a vampire", but I assumed that German publishers rather prefer German title. So I've just translated.

often hear, take off on that while writing some fictional characters. Is this happening to you too?
Absolutely! And that's what makes it so attractive to the letter! I find it wonderful if my fictional characters suddenly develop differently than I had initially planned. That's almost like in real life, there's not all predictable.

"Never trust a vampire plays mostly in southern England. Have you even been there?
I love England very much! And just south of it has done to me. Most particularly Cornwall has captured my heart, but Devon is a beautiful piece of land, as well as Oxford and Bristol. Yes, I have made many trips to England. And I may even tell you that I was married to an Englishman. He had but unfortunately no fangs ...

What obstacles you had to overcome until the manuscript is accepted by a publisher?
The usual obstacles I think. I've got some cancellations, as well as any other writer. And yet it ultimately went faster than I had imagined it to me. The first publisher who wanted to publish my book has, unfortunately, filed for bankruptcy. So my first dream was dead, and I even had a lawyer call on to get back my rights to the book. Thank God everything went well, and I found the wonderful AAVAA-Verlag, gave me a second chance. There, I feel good, especially since my publisher is a very great person. It should be mentioned at this point absolutely times.

What was it feel as if you held the first book printed in your own hands have?
It was just indescribably beautiful! I was able to pick up my book in person at the publishing house that has made the whole thing even more exciting.

"Never trust a vampire" was originally planned as a single novel. At what time you were aware that there would be a sequel?
When I had to read twice my manuscript correction. I could feel how close I actually grew fond of the characters were, and that there are so many opportunities for them. One can also say that was just the beginning ...

Currently you are working on the sequel. You already give some details about price or is everything that goes with it, still top secret?
much I have to work out exactly, but a little bit I can tell you confidently. It will definitely be back very erotic - and exciting! The male protagonist this time is Cedric, who played in the first part of a very "charming" role. He meets Alex, an unassuming, single mother who gets into trouble when her daughter falls into the clutches of a ruthless vampire. And of course there are also re-Nicolas and Kimberly, are the main characters in the current directory. It is even possible that one of the well-known people, must die. But pssst, more I tell not now, okay?

Every author knows his personal time, during which he has the best ideas. Some write right after getting up, others pull out in the afternoon or late evening hours the best. How is it with you?
This may sound too simple, but I write when I have time. And this is unfortunately far too rare. Preferably on weekends, particularly Sundays. I used to write mostly at night, which really works now only on weekends because I still have another job.

Did you know once one of the authors so feared, writer's block? If so, what your recipe was it?
I always have the time. Especially when I am carrying around some big problem with me. But fortunately that has never been on too long. Is there any remedy? Oh dear! One should not even too much to pressure to stay quiet. And "try" every now and again, whether it is indeed once again. For me, it is often the case that I must bring myself to write by - when I first start but then, I'm not able to stop. Your inner weakness overcome, it seems. But whether it applies to each author? The Well, each out for yourself.

you like to read yourself? If so, which authors and genres do you prefer?
Yes, I love to read! I've always done you. My big passion, besides writing of course. What I like to read? You'll be surprised, vampire novels, of course! My favorite authors are Bram Stoker (göttlich!), Lara Adrian, Katie MacAlister, Lynsay Sands, and more recently, Riccardo Blake, who has published a very excellent erotic vampire novel. But there are many writers of the genre that inspire me. Now and then I will tell my genre but "unfaithful" and read novels naughty woman with a good portion of sarcasm and humor. The books by Susanne Fröhlich and Kerstin Gier I find, for example, very, very good.

you have a favorite book?
ch I have many favorite books, and it will constantly be new discoveries. A classic, however, which is still my love "Dracula" by Bram Stoker. For somehow started doing that at all - at least my fascination when it comes to vampires.

Thank you for patiently answering my questions and good luck!
Thank you for your interest in my book and in my person. This interview has me a lot of fun. Greetings to all readers!

Where Can I Get Ferretone In The Uk

! Xmldirlisting 0.4

If you do not check my Dropbox public folder regularly, you probably won’t
have noticed the changes to xmldirlisting (formerly known as dirlisting.py).
So I’m quite sure you haven’t :)

The new release xmldirlisting 0.4 is ready. I renamed the project, rewrote it
from scratch and currently it’s … really simple. Basically you can do
the same things like before the transition—it’s just a bit trickier.
There are even no command line arguments right now and the documentation is
short, but if you have a good understanding of XML and XSLT you will be
familiar with the concept.

The project will generate an XML representation of the entire directory
including all subdirectories. The XML file can be processed by other programs.
I use the project in combination with some XSLT-stylesheets to create a
highly customizable HTML page for example. Have a look at the

project folder of the public part of my Dropbox
,
to see an example result. The file is automatically generated in realtime
just before it’s send to the Dropbox servers. You can obtain the sources of my
XSLT-stylesheet, which is used for the transformation, in the release tarball.

If you want to use xmldirlisting, but some feature is missing, you should file
a bug report in the bug tracker on the project’s homepage.
